The walimex pro Advanced 173 SH video tripod offers everything that beginner and advanced film-makers need to get going: A very sturdy tripod that is very light thanks to the materials used and the construction and can, therefore, be taken everywhere with you. The height of the centre column is adjusted separately using a crank handle, so that a maximum extended height of 173 cm can be reached – despite the compact transport dimensions of just 73 cm.
Smart details
The tripod legs have three sections, each of which has a flip lock. This means you can adjust the height of the tripod and then fix it securely. A mid-spreader has been incorporated to ensure even more stability. The tripod feet are rubber-coated and so will not slip on smooth or slippery surfaces.
Silky-smooth pan shots
The 2-way video panhead is unique in this class of tripod – it offers all the functions you need for gentle, even panning. An in-built level will help you to keep the tripod perfectly straight, and to keep the camera level too, a second level has been integrated right into the tripod shoulder. On the video panhead itself, you can lock both the pan axis (rotation / panorama function) and the tilt axis (panning and tilting) so you can control each movement precisely as you like for your shots. The grip, just like large professional video panheads, can be adjusted or removed.
Connection
The quick-release plate provided clicks easily and securely on to the video panhead and can be connected to any current camera equipment using the correct-sized screws (1/4” and 3/8”). Another particularly is the smartphone holder that also comes with this product. You can not only shoot with your video camera but with your smartphone, too, and then share your great shots with others. The mount has another small highlight: Thanks to a second 1/4”-camera thread, you can connect other pieces of equipment such as a video light or microphone.
Compact and complete
